I am not a Christian, but working on the rebranding of the St. Andrews Orchestra in 2022 has been more than just a graphic design job. And why should it come as a surprise, when music has been called a universal language for so long?
The goal was to still look like a traditional institution, yet modern and younger.
How it all started: A note. Or is it a 'd', as in 'Andrews'?
The Bauhaus-inspired new logo keeps the promise: Bauhaus has become a traditional institution but is also a symbol of modernism. The clear black-and-white contrast keep the logo serious enough while the thick lines let the bold Bauhaus shapes round it up in a playful way: Between traditional and rejuvenated.
Believe it or not (pun intended): But I was so inspired by this job that I ended up writing a short essay to replace the lorem-ipsum.
